Collection: Edition Adanzé

In 2014/2015, Christian Awe created a tennis court-sized mural in Berlin-Schöneberg called "Adanzé". In various West African languages Adanzé means "a warm welcome". Inspired by his travels through Burkina Faso (West Africa), the colors and patterns of traditional clothing, the rhythm and joy of life of the people there are reflected in the mural. Just like an abstract gesture of welcome.

With the proceeds from the "Adanzé" edition, which shows details of the mural, as well as the proceeds from other editions, Christian Awe has already been able to build a school for 400 children in a village community with over 5'000 people in Kassan in the northwest of Burkina Faso as well as a hospital with a maternity clinic.
