Collection: Christian Awe & Michael Stich

With their first joint exhibition in December 2023, Christian Awe and Michael Stich took new and unusual paths - playful and experimental. What seems extremely unusual at first glance reveals, upon closer inspection, a surprising number of similarities. In addition to their love of art, there is one thing that unites the internationally renowned artist Awe and the self-taught artist Stich: their social commitment.
The Michael Stich Foundation has been supporting HIV-infected and AIDS-affected children and and their families for 30 years. Christian Awe is involved in numerous education and health projects, including the construction of a school and a hospital in Burkina Faso (West Africa).

In order to support other people, two joint artworks were created, the proceeds of which go equally to the Michael Stich Foundation and to Christian Aweˈs hospital and school projects. In addition to the originals, Michael Stich and Christian Awe have published editions of both works, the proceeds of which also benefit the two organizations. Each edition is hand-painted and signed by both artists, so that they are also small unique pieces.
